Each of our fable assemblies is based around one of the famous 'fables of La Fontaine'.
Suitable for both KS1 and KS2, they include a full assembly plan, the story text and a downloadable illustration.

The Greedy Dog

The Lion and the Mouse

The Wolf and the Stork

The dog already has what he needs to be happy, a piece of meat. Envy and fear of missing out are what make him unhappy.

The Lion helps the Mouse with no thought of receiving help in return. Should helping others be its own reward?

The wolf is ungrateful and because of his ingratitude the stork isn't there the second time to save him.
