Project Tree

The Big 20 Challenge

'Never has the need for information about and understanding of wild creatures, and where they live,

been more vital'

Virginia McKenna OBE

Founder, The Born Free Foundation

Over the coming weeks and months this section of our website will build up into a comprehensive bank of natural world activity topics for school and home.

Our first project is Project Tree, and in its branches you will find a wide range of fun, informative tree-based activities - and like any healthy tree it will continue to grow as we add further activities to it.

Next we are introducing our big 20 challenge, our list of 'twenty wildlife things to do before you're 10 3/4'.

Thirdly we can give you a preview of an exciting - and timely - forthcoming project, the world of the bee. Bees are now under threat, and we will be looking at ways children can help ensure their survival - plus lots of other facts and activities linked to these extraordinary creatures.

We welcome any feedback or suggestions for further projects we can cover in the future. Please email any thoughts or ideas to
